Like almost every lawyer in America, I have student loan debt. As I read the news on the new loan forgiveness plan, I see many commentators complaining about the irresponsibility and unfairness of offering relief to student borrowers. While I understand their reasoning, I don’t agree with them. Many authority figures (parents, teachers, employers, etc.) push young people into these over-priced institutions and, consequently, into the loans needed to pay tuition.
