Before an estate is allowed by probate court, all interested parties must receive notice of the proceedings and be given an opportunity to object. You can eliminate this requirement and expedite the probate process by having all heirs and devisees sign an assent form before filing your petition in probate court. The form is available online as Mass. MPC 455.
