A motion is simply a litigant’s written request to the court asking (or moving) the judge to make a certain ruling. Every court has its own rules for formatting and submitting motions. Additionally, judges themselves may have certain peculiarities that litigants must be aware of when filing a motion.
my fiance signed a plea agreement based on his attorney advising him that he should and pretty much my question is can he do something to appeal and change plea to not guilty from guilty? His attorney gave him false hope and pretty much lied to him saying theyd win the case or get it dismissed etc and that if he signed this than what happened after wouldn’t happen so he wants to find out how to appeal after signing the guilt plea agreement due to ineffective counsel it’s out of mass district court it’s only been a week or two since he signed it and he got screwed by doing that (what his attorney advised him to do). What can he do?
