Yesterday the Massachusetts State Police (MSP) announced the arrest of Antonio Bell, 53, of Springfield.
Mr. Bell, a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Veteran’s Home in Holyoke, allegedly stole a wedding ring from a disabled veteran/patient who recently died at the facility.
Investigators were able to track down the $2,000 ring which had been pawned to a shop in Springfield for just $85.
Bell was arraigned yesterday in Holyoke District Court and released on his own recognizance. He is charged with two counts of larceny from a building and one count of receiving stolen property. If convicted, he could receive up to 5 years in state prison.
