Last night around 9:30 a 45-year-old woman from Pittsburg allegedly crashed her Subaru Forester into a state police cruiser on the Mass Pike in Newton.
According to boston.com, the trooper was parked near the 126 mile marker on the westbound side of the highway.
The woman allegedly rear-ended the cruiser, injuring the trooper. He was taken to the hospital following the accident and the severity of his injuries is unclear.
The state police issued a statement to boston.com. The statement is not readily available online. But, according to the news website, the female driver is now facing charges for drunk driving. If charged, she will likely be arraigned in Newton District Court.
