Today the Massachusetts House of Representatives ordered a special election for the 6th District of Essex County. The election is needed to fill the vacancy left by Representative Jerald A. Parisella. Rep. Parisella declined to take the oath of office when the House was sworn-in to a new term on January 1.
In response to the order, the Secretary of the Commonwealth, William F. Galvin, issued a calendar of deadline for perspective candidates. The election will be held on May 13, 2025. For more information, visit Secretary Galvin’s website.
