Here we go again with alleged sexual abuse on a flight into Boston.

If you doubt that this is a recurring theme, check out a few of my earlier posts:

Today police arrested Jonathan Alan Lefman, 46, of Newton for the absurdly-named crime of “abusive sexual contact while in the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States.”

The complaint against Lefman claims that–while flying from Puerto Rico to Boston with his wife and four kids–he repeatedly pushed his fingers through the seat crack in front of him and touched a female passenger’s butt without permission. The alleged victim was only 17.

Like most 17-year-old girls, the passenger had her cell phone in hand and she immediately began to record the incident. Below is a still-shot from one of her videos.

Lefman appeared for his first hearing today in Boston’s federal court. If convicted, he could face up to two years in prison, one year of supervised release, and a fine up to $250,000.

UPDATE 3/4/2025: Today a federal grand jury indicted Lefman on one count of abusive sexual contact while in the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States..
