Last Saturday night Boston Police arrested Thomas Apprille, 57, of Canton for operating under the influence of alcohol fourth offense.
According to police, Thomas (whose license is suspended) crashed his Dodge Ram pickup trunk into the passenger side of a Boston police cruiser around 7 p.m.
The crash caused airbags to deploy in both vehicles. Additionally all parties involved in the crash–Thomas and two police officers–were brought to the hospital for their injuries.
Police claim that Thomas threw a can of beer over the top of his truck after the accident.
Boston 25 reports that Thomas has three OUI convictions from the 1990’s.
Thomas was arraigned yesterday in Boston Municipal Court in West Roxbury. The judge set his bail at $4,000 and ordered him to use a SCRAM breath test three times per day during the pendency of his case.
