Boston police officer Stephen O’Connell, 38, of Hanover, was arraigned in Quincy District Court yesterday for allegedly operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
The state police claim that a trooper witnessed O’Connell drive his black 2023 Nissan Frontier into an unmarked Boston police cruiser on Route 3 in Weymouth. The officer inside the cruiser was brought to the hospital “as a precaution.”
The story appeared today on boston.com though the details were scant. The article cites to a state police press release on the arrest. However, I haven’t been able to find that press release online.
The court released O’Connell on his personal recognizance. His next court date is on July 8.
