brown cattle on open field

It’s not always easy to find blog-worthy material. Today I was close to giving up the search when I saw this story on the Massachusetts State Police website.

Last week troopers from the Charlton Barracks were sent to that town’s highway rest stop for a “property check.”

Shortly after their arrival, troopers noticed a man passed out in his pickup with a baby cow in the truck bed.

They checked on the man and allegedly found him in possession of an undisclosed “controlled substance” (Class B) and a pipe to ingest the drug.

Troopers ultimately arrested the man for operating under the influence (OUI) and other motor vehicle offenses.

Animal control took custody of the cow and no details were given as to where it went from there.
