One of Bellingham’s finest, Sgt. Kevin Heenan, was arrested in Woonsocket, R.I. yesterday morning.
He’s accused of operating under the influence (OUI) and carrying a firearm while intoxicated.
Rhode Island law enforcement alleges that Heenan crashed into an unoccupied, parked vehicle.
According to the Boston Herald, the Bellington police department placed Heenan on paid administrative leaving pending his arraignment.
Additionally, the department’s chief striped Heenan of his police powers and suspended his access to police property and equipment, pending an internal investigation.
