Cheshire Police Chief Michael Alibozek, 53, was arrested last Thursday night around 9:45 p.m.
According to the Berkshire District Attorney’s Offfice, Alibozek was allegedly attempting to solicit sex from an undercover state trooper in the parking lot of Hoosac Valley Middle and High School.
Officials claim that, leading up to the encounter, Alibozek communicated online with an undercover detective from Berkshire’s state police unit.
He’s charged with seeking sexual conduct for a fee under G.L. c. 272, Sec. 53A.
His arraignment is scheduled for today in Northern Berkshire District Court.
According to boston.com, the town placed Alibozek on administrative leave, seizing his department-issued gun and barring his access to the police station.
