Today Paulo Castro, 69, of Framingham, was arraigned in district court.

He is charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury or death pursuant to G.L. c90 §24(2)(a½).

Officials claim that Paulo hit a bicyclist–an unidentified 43-year-old Framingham man–in the area of Gorman Road and Concord Street.

Officials allege that Paulo fled from the scene of the accident.

He was eventually taken into police custody.

The cyclist was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was ultimately pronounced dead.

The judge set Paul’s bail at $3,000. Paulo was also ordered not to drive without a valid license.

His next court date is January 30, 2026.
