Yesterday Boston police arrested Tyrone Snead, 43, of Dorchester for allegedly attempting to sell stolen skis on Facebook Marketplace.

The alleged victim saw the skis online and reported the information to police.

An investigator, posing as a buyer, contacted the seller and arranged to purchase the skis.

According to police, the parties agreed to meet at an apartment complex located at 155 Northampton Street.

Police claim that the skis were in plain view when they arrived at the property.

Snead allegedly spoke with the undercover officer and confirmed the ski’s sale price which matched the Facebook post.

At that point, police arrested Snead.

According to boston.com, he will be charged with receiving stolen property over $1,200.
