The Suffolk County DA is working hard to keep Boston’s breweries safe! Earlier this week the DA’s office issued a press release concerning Michael Dias, 46, who allegedly broke into the Trillium Brewery in Boston,

According to the press release, Dias was convicted of “a series of robberies” in 2020 and ended a five-year stay in state prison on June 17.

By July 3 he was allegedly back in action, throwing a rock through the brewery’s glass door and trying to smash open the cash register.

Investigators collected blood samples from the crime scene and sent them to the state police lab for analysis.

Additionally, police obtained surveillance footage of the incident. The DA claims that Diaz can be identified in the video.

Dias was arraigned in BMC Roxbury on July 11. He’s facing the following charges:

  • B&E BUILDING NIGHTTIME FOR FELONY c266 §16 (Felony);
  • DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY +$1200, MALICIOUS c266 §127 (Felony);
  • LARCENY FROM BUILDING c266 §20 (Felony);
  • THIEF, COMMON & NOTORIOUS c266 §40 (Felony)

The court released Dias on his own recognizance with the condition that he stays away from Trillium Brewery. His next court date is September 25.
