
Earlier this week Governor Healey’s office announced the nomination of three lawyers for the position of district court associate justice.
Tonomey Coleman:
- Member of the Massachusetts Parole Board since 2013;
- Attorney in private practice for nearly 20 years;
- Member of the Govenor’s Task Force on Hate Crimes since 2019;
- President of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association from 2001-2002;
- Bernard M. Baruch College – Bachelor of Business Administration;
- Boston College Law School – Juris Doctorate
Mark Fabiano:
- Assistant Clerk-Magistrate at Wrentham District Court since 2019;
- Founded and managed Fabiano Law Firm;
- Served as Assistant District Attorney in the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office;
- University of Redland – Bachelor of Arts;
- Tulane University Law School – Juris Doctorate
Becky Michaels:
- Assistant District Attorney in the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office since 2012;
- Served as Assistant Attorney General in the Government Bureau of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office;
- Served as judicial clerk on the Massachusetts Appeals Court and the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts;
- Barnard College – Bachelor of Arts;
- Western New England University – Juris Doctorate.
The Govenor’s Council must confirm each of the nominees. Their hearings should take place in the coming weeks.
Govenor Healey has now nominated a total of 28 attorneys to the district court.
