Police in West Haven, CT released a statement saying that one of their K9’s was bit during a recent arrest.
Yes, you read that correctly. The suspect allegedly bit the police dog.
According to police, the incident took place following a car chase on I-95.
The suspect allegedly ran from his vehicle and became combative when cornered by officers.
That’s when the K9–an eight-year police veteran named Ado–was set loose.
Ado got some bites in too and–due to his “excellent and overwhelming training and experience”–he did not “disengage” when the suspect bit back.
The police statement says that Ado sustained no physical injuries. I’m sure that’s not the case for the suspect.
