Aaron Jamal Whitehead, 31, of Fall River was arraigned today in Quincy District Court.

He is charged with

  • A&B on a person over 60;
  • witness intimidation;
  • malicious destruction of property under $1,200; and
  • disorderly conduct.

According to a statement by the Randolph police, Whitehead’s child missed the bus to Hansen Elementary School.

Whitehead allegedly used his vehicle to stop the bus.

Police say that the driver refused to let Whitehead’s child on board due to company policy.

Whitehead allegedly followed the bus to the next stop, boarded it, attacked the driver, and took his phone.

There were children on the bus at the time, according to police.

The alleged incident took place on Tuesday, April 28, at around 8:24 a.m. near 1 Avalon Drive.

Today prosecutors filed a motion to have Whitehead detained under the state’s “dangerousness” statute: G.L. c. 276, Sec. 58A.

The hearing on that motion is scheduled for May 5.

In the meantime, Whitehead is held without the right to bail at the Norfolk County House of Corrections.
